At IBC 2025 in Hall 1, Balcony Suite 12-13, Friend MTS, the number one anti-piracy provider and video cybersecurity partner in media, sports, and entertainment, will unveil the next chapter in its growth strategy to combat piracy with precision. The highlight is the launch of new investigation services, backed by a team of experts that help customers understand the impact of piracy on their services, make informed decisions about their anti-piracy strategies, and partner with law enforcement to combat criminal networks.
At IBC, FMTS is launching its Piracy Investigation Services which bring together identification, threat intelligence, advanced analysis and enforcement. The service features ongoing piracy mapping to inform investigations and enforcement efforts, including identifying and locating those responsible for illicit streaming services. Complementing this, the advanced analysis and enforcement solution provides customers with an understanding of the underlying infrastructure of illegal services together with support for enforcement actions, including judicial proceedings.
FMTS will highlight how it has taken a leap forward in anti-piracy protection by upgrading its monitoring services with a sophisticated AI RAG model that continuously learns and adapts to pirates’ ever-evolving tactics. Unlike static monitoring solutions, it automatically builds target templates, identifies subtle changes in piracy targets, and dynamically adjusts scanning parameters and access methods for more precise detection. This AI-based approach delivers new levels of speed, accuracy, and intelligence for FMTS customers. It identifies threats 70% faster from the expanded FMTS’s Piracy Source Register, which now features 50% more targets.
“Our recent wins at MNC, Saran Media and VOYO demonstrate how our business is growing - as ambitious video providers invest in the rights to premium content, including live sport and Hollywood movies, they are turning to us to keep those assets secure. More and more, businesses see piracy as a real risk. By adding new AI tools and our latest investigations services, we can now offer a truly end-to-end service - from monitoring and identification right through to enforcement,” said Shane McCarthy, CEO, Friend MTS.
At 12 noon CET on Sunday, 14th September, FMTS will be hosting a panel with news and views from invited guests on Piracy: Undermining Sports, Threatening Business, Funding Crime. For an invite to this brunch event, please contact pr@friendmts.com.
